Established in 1975, the publication continues to deliver timely coverage of local news, events, and features curated by a dedicated, island-based team. The content includes current news reports, a lively letters page, and regular segments such as a weekly sports roundup, photo features, "Twenty Years Ago" reminisces, and other recurring features. Up-to-date 'What's On' listings alongside property, recruitment, and classified ads maintain a strong local focus.

The digital edition is available through a free app download. Users can purchase individual issues or back copies directly within the app. Subscription options are also offered, which commence with the latest available issue at the time of subscription.

Subscriptions are subject to automatic renewal unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends. Renewal charges will be applied within 24 hours prior to expiry, at the current rate for the chosen subscription. Subscription management options include disabling auto-renewal via account settings; however, active subscriptions cannot be canceled mid-term.

Purchases are billed to the user's iTunes account upon confirmation. Any free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited upon purchase of a subscription. For subscriptions including a free trial, cancellation must occur at least 24 hours before the trial concludes to avoid charges.

The app permits users to register or log in with a pocketmags account to safeguard their purchases across devices and platforms. Existing users can retrieve previous purchases by logging into their accounts. For optimal performance initially, loading the app over Wi-Fi is recommended so all issues are fully downloaded.
